    Hi Sam Davidson,

No we are not owed by Silicon Laboratories, CEL is it's own company.  We have a very good partnership with Silicon Laboratories and we have our MeshConnect modules in their ZigBee development kit (EM35x-DEV-IAR), and use their expertise for answering questions about their stack.  We are also promoting several of their sensors on our MeshWorks sensor nodes.

Thanks for the clarification.  So do I go to you for help or do I ask SiLabs for help?  For example, I plan on using your EM358x in our newest design.  Are you able to help with a schematic or layout review or do I ask SiLabs?

    Hi SamDavidson,

If you are using CEL's products/modules we will do schematic and layout reviews of completed schematics and layouts.  Please email zigbeesupport@cel.com and include a pdf version of your schematic and complete gerbers for layout.

We also recommend following our hardware design guidelines closely, especially our mounting instructions for our module's antenna.

    Regards,

    VR
